Cancer changed both of these mens lives.
For Tyler, cancer took his mother. For Dylan, cancer took his mother, then came for his young 18mo daughter, Isla. After years of treatment, hospital stays, and battles no child should ever have to endure, Isla is now a cancer survivor.
Two different stories. One shared pain. And one shared promise:
We can do more.
Dylan and Tyler are both active in endurance sports, but this challenge isn't about proving how far they can push themselves. It's about using every mile to stand beside children who are fighting for their lives and families who are fighting alongside them.
For 43 days, they will ride 43 miles every single day, 1,849 miles in total. The number 43 represents the approximately 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day in the United States.
They will ride when they're tired. They will ride when it hurts. They will ride because children battling cancer don't get to choose when their fight begins or when it ends.
This is bigger than a bike ride.
It's a fight for awareness. It's a fight for hope. It's a way to tell families facing childhood cancer: you are not alone.
And most importantly, 100% of every dollar raised will go toward supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.
On May 1st they will begin cycling 43 miles for 43 days totaling 1,849 miles across Missouri and Kansas.
For every child. For every family. For every fight.
"Every single day, an average of 43 children are diagnosed with cancer."
43 children. Every day. Between the ages of 0 and 19, kids who should be playing, learning, growing up, receive a cancer diagnosis that changes everything for them and everyone who loves them.
That number stopped us in our tracks. So we decided to ride for every one of them. 43 miles a day, 43 days straight, one mile for every child diagnosed today, and tomorrow, and the day after that.
This isn't just a ride. It's a reminder that behind every statistic is a real child, a real family, and a real fight. We ride so they know they're not alone.
