Care Package Request

We do our best to personalize each package based on the interests listed in each request form. Our goal is to include toys & activities that can be easily transported to the hospital for treatment and longer stays. A package may also include comfort items, supplies for family activities, and gift cards the family can use together. 

We are open to suggestions based around the child’s responses to questions within our application. We never guarantee that we can fully fulfill wish lists as, like any other charity, our resources are limited and we have many to assist.

We do ask for proof of a diagnosis. This can be presented many ways (social worker letter, doctor’s note, etc.). If possible, we prefer not to be sent medical records that include personal information such as social security numbers, as these are often highly sensitive and deserve encrypted file transfers.

No. Isla Cares works to fulfill as many requests as it can. We unfortunately cannot guarantee that we will be able to sponsor your family.

No, Isla Cares does not currently provide financial assistance. It is our goal to be able to recieve the funding necessary for this type of assistance in the future. 

Isla Cares currently serves families receiving care primarily in the Greater Kansas City Area. We handle requests on a case-by-case basis though and are open to families applying from outside of our region.
